Route rating
(0) ReviewsThe route is set in the countryside and villages along with Nottinghamshire - Derbyshire border near Ironville, Langley Mill, Brinsley and Underwoood. Some great views and great country bridleways can be found in this area. Highlights on the route are the ruins of Codnor Castle and the section of bridleway along Moorgreen reservoir. The route is hilly in areas, most notable is the hill from the top of Moorgreen reservoir to Underwood and from Langley Mill to Brinsley but you wont be left behind.
Approximately 70% of the route is along quiet roads, byways or bridleways. There is a busier section on the A608 for a little under a mile at a gently down hill. Surfaces are a mixture of tarmac and hard packed gravel.
This is a leisurely ride where we can stop to take photos or admire the view. There is no cafe stop on this ride.
Helmets are necessary on this ride. Please ensure you bring something to drink and a snack if needed. Bringing a spare inner tube is recommended.
