Clowbridge reservoir and Padiham greenway, Rosssendale and Burnley explorer.

This ride is a brilliant expo of parts of the Rossendale valley and its union with Burnley and a return via Hyndburn.
A challenging yet rewarding ride.
We will leave Whittaker park and rise up and up passing Crawshawbooth to the fantastic reverse view of Clowbridge reservoir.
After this we have a mighty decsent all the way to the Padiham cycle greenway where we start a steady but comfortable climb back up to Haslingden and onto Rawtenstall via the Baxenden lines.

This is a challenging yet rewarding route needing a hybrid bike or a vehicle suited toon road and tracks and trails. We use a mixture of A and B roads and cycle off roads routes and even a bit of towpath.

We have many opportunities to stop and snap and snack and chat.

Helmets a must. Suitable spares including money and a good jacket.
