CLOSED Scarecrow Hunting @ Village Festivals

Set off at Bike shop, Market Place, Cockermouth and follow diversion through town. head out of Cockermouth along Low Road and get on cycle path before roundabout. Cross A66 with caution and rejoin cycle path to Brigham. In Brigham stay on road and head towards Broughton Cross. Just through Broughton Cross turn left for Eaglesfield. Go through the village and and the junction on asharp right hand corner go straight on heading for Dean. Follow the road for 4-5 miles until Dean village crossroads. Turn right for Branthwaite. Go through village and stop at Wild Duck Pub (half way up the steep hill.) After refreshments retace route back to bottom of hill and turn right at junction for Ullock. Follow road into Ullock village then go straight onto at junction towards Dean. In Dean turn left at junction and arrive back at Dean crossroads. Turn right for Deanscales. In Deanscales go riht at junction then on a sharp right bend take the road straight ahead (unsigned). Follow this road until the t junction then turn left. After 1 mile approach the t-junction with care as not well signed/road markings. Turn right for Eaglesfield but stay on road to bypass the village and head towards Brigham. Caution at Hotchberry hill as steep descent then arrive in Brigham. Turn right at junction in Brigham then bear right at next junction (Caution as bad to see traffic) Carry straight on through Brigham until A66. (Caution) cross A66 and use shortcut through hedge. Travel along Brigham Road to Lamplugh Road. Follow road back to car parks/Bike Shop.
