Starting from - The route starts from the car park at Court Hey Park, off Roby Road, in the Broadgreen area of Liverpool. For those wishing to travel by train, Broadgreen Station, which is on the main Wigan and Manchester line to Liverpool, is approximately half a mile or five minutes away from the start point.

(0) ReviewsA journey through Liverpool's finest parks, along the banks of the River Mersey to the Pier Head, and the iconic architecture of The Three Graces, the cruise terminal at Princes Landing stage, and the fabulous architecture of the Royal Albert Dock. The ride will take us from Court Hey Park past ‘The Mystery’ (Wavertree Playground) and the Bluecoat School and on to Greenbank Park, a look at Penny Lane then onto Sefton Park, Princes Park and The Gates. We make our way to Otterspool Promenade via Otterspool Park, Riverside Drive to the Pier Head, the Three Graces, the Beatles Statue and hopefully we will also get a view of a cruise ship at Princes Landing Stage. We will take our refreshment stop at Ryde Cycle Cafe before returning along Otterspool Promenade and on to Grassendale. Time permitting, we will take a look at Paul McCartneys childhood home at Forthlin Road, then onto Calderstones Park, Aunt Mimi’s House (John Lennon’s childhood home), Strawberry Fields, Woolton Village and St Peters Church and Hall and Eleanor Rigby’s grave. Return via Hunts Cross and the Liverpool Loop Line to Court Hey Park.
This ride is suitable for hybrid bikes (fitted with road and off-road tyres), mountain bikes and road bikes and is mostly on hard surface roads, cycle paths and park paths.

The Pier Head is also the focal point of Eurovision 2023 being held in and around the Pier Head, Kings Dock and Albert Dock. On the return journey, time permitting, we will visit some of the landmarks made famous by The Beatles including the venue where it all started, their family homes, Strawberry Fields and Eleanor Rigby's grave. Something for everyone! Ryde Cafe!
All riders will be required to wear a helmet and carry spare inner tubes and the means to be able to repair a puncture (assistance will be provided if required). Don't forget some money for the cafe stop!
