Starting point

Greater Manchester
M21 9LY

This is a challenging circular route due to the distance and uneven terrain along the canal. It is not suitable for road bikes with very thin tyres. We will be averaging 10-12 miles per hour but the ride is not paced due to riding on the towpaths.

Circular route to Marple

Most of the ride is traffic free on paved tarmac suitable for mountain, gravel and hybrid bikes. There will be a few short sections on the road.

Please wear a helmet, bring a bike lock, bike lights, inner tube and water/snacks or money for the cafe.

We never leave anyone behind
