Starting point

CV36 4AW

The free car park by the Stour bridge on the Brailes Road, opposite The Old Mill.

Circuit to the South. The route for this ride is a selection of ups and downs within the Stour Valley – nothing too arduous but at 18 miles, it should be a good morning’s work out – burn off some of those Easter chocolate calories! We’ll meet at the usual car park in Shipston by the River Bridge on the Brailes Road. Now the mornings are brighter we’ll start at 09:00. We head off towards Willington, then via Sutton under Brailes to Whichford for a coffee stop at The Pottery Cafe. Then comes the biggest challenge of the ride (we wait at the top to enjoy the view and for those who prefer to walk it). Fabulous downhill into Long Compton, then across to Barton Heath, Great Wolford and Toddenham back home – should be about mid-day. Your bike should be in a roadworthy condition ready for Summer riding. Watch the weather forecast and come prepared. At the turn of the seasons the wind can still be nippy! A properly fitted helmet is advised but not compulsory. Get in touch if you have any queries = 01608 661288 07762 358466 Jacey.
