SL1 5LE

From the start point (car park at Mercian Recreation ground, Mercian Way, SL1 5LE) we will cross the motorway spur via a footbridge to Huntercombe lane south, then Lake End road to the Jubilee river and on to Marsh Lane, Oak Stubbs lane and the path along the south side of the motorway to Bray, then round Bray Lake to the cafe. The return route will go past the rowing lake to Eton Wick, then up the path towards Wood Lane, over the motorway to return to the start through the park. This route may vary according to circumstances and conditions on the day.

This is a BBCG (Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Cycle group). This is ride to explore the cycling opportunities between Cippenham, the Jubilee river and beyond. The route is also pretty short.

This will be virtually all on traffic free paths, some tarmacked, some not, virtually all traffic free.

We will refresh ourselves at the Macmillan Hospice cafe (Cafe on the Lake) at Bray.

Apart from a serviceable bike, please bring a helmet and wear suitable clothing for the day. Please also bring at least one spare inner tube (correct size for your bike). Tyre levers and pump are also advised. You will need card/cash for the cafe.

First-timers welcome!
