Starting point

Perthshire
PH1 5HT

Starting from outside Bells Sports Centre on Perths North inch we follow the cycle path up the banks of the River Tay and then along the River Almond to the lower reaches of Almondbank. Here we divert on to the road through the village over the narrow bridge and up the hill. This hill can challenge us. From there its into Pitcairngreen past the pub then follow the sign pst for Bankfoot on the quiet country road. We take a right at the Tullybelton cross roads and then it's down to the A9 Bridge. We then take the cycle path to Luncarty where we join the road through to take us back on to the cycle path. Now we explore the updated cycle path back into perth.

We can stop whenever we want or need to! Sometimes we will stop to catch our breath, sometimes we will stop to take a photo, sometimes we will stop to take in the view - we're out to enjoy ourselves, so please let the ride leader know if there are any stops you want us to make.

Please dress for the weather, wearing whatever is comfortable for you on the bike. Generally clothing should not flap about at the ankles, as it can get caught in the chain, and watch for any clothing catching on the saddle. Be prepared for a typical Scottish December weather it can be bright sunny but still cold.

Bring water a helmet and whatever you might need should you get a puncture.
