Car Parking is conveniently located on Queens Road car park, PR7 1JU. This is next to the park gates. Turn right immediately after the park gates when entering Chorley from the Preston direction or M61 junction 8. Parking should be free after 5 p.m. and all day on Sunday.

The Route goes via Botany bay and Whittle Springs to Top Lock and pretty much follows the National Cycle Network route 91 along Denham Lane to Salisbury Bottoms, then Further Lane to cross the A59 to Mellor Brook. From here it goes along Bezza Lane and it's views of the Ribble Valley, to return across the A59 to Roach Bridge, Gregson Lane and Whittle-le-Woods, utilising cycle paths through Clayton Brook and Whittle-le-Woods, then back to Chorley.

An undulating country road route, to a road with a view and a few cycle paths thrown in.

Mainly quiet country roads and cycle paths/cycleways.

Lunch can be taken at The Cafe on The Green in Gregson Lane. Stops otherwise as required

Helmets are always advisable, but NOT compulsory. Please bring the usual emergency tools and puncture repair equipment. Daytime running lights can be a good idea. Cash/card if you require lunch.
