Chorley - Ainsdale Loop

Passing through Astley Park to Astley Village then Euxton via A581 to Croston then taking the Lancashire cycleway to Mere Brow. Cross the A565 to reach the Southport coast road via Banks thence to the Promenade. From here we take the fairly quiet main road to Ainsdale so as to avoid the unpleasant coastal road or cycle path. Cafe stop at Mecycle cycling cafe in Aisdale Village. Return journey is on back roads and the Lancashire cycleway route via Halsall and Burscough with the option of a second cafe stop at Brandreth Barn at Tarlscough. Continue via Parbold (over Parbold Hill), Wrightington and Eccleston then via Back lane back to Euxton and Astley Park.
