Chesterfield Five Pits Trail

STEADY NOT EASYGOING!! The route will follow the Five Pits Trail south from Grassmoor on gravelly paths to Tibshelf before turning and coming back the same way. The website has classed this as easy going but it is NOT. The speed is slow due to hills. The gravel can also be tricky to ride on. The path is surfaced but not suitable for road bikes. It is an undulating route, perfect for those wanting to build up fitness and skill level after completing the Trans Penine Trail. Unfortunately, there is no cafe for us to have our regular drink stop so please bring refreshments to have along the way.
