Cherry Blossom Ride

Starting from - I think that this time of the year is best for seeing Cherry Blossoms. And as good a place as any to see them is in the Kyoto Garden, in the grounds of Lauriston Castle. We'll muster at Caffe Nero in Lister Square and head out down the new cycleway to the Blackhall Corridor and Silverknowes to arrive at Lauriston Castle. Not content with that, we will head up to Clerwood to see the walled garden within Corstorphine Woods. This is a wee bit of a climb, so any that don't fancy it can retrace the route back to the Meadows. No lunch stop on this ride, but we will cycle back to the starting point where there are plenty of places for refreshments. A few short, rough paths on this, but it's mostly tarmac and on quiet roads and cycleways. As always , bring some basic tools and a spare inner tube that fits your bike and means to inflate it.
