Checkenden to Britwell Private Garden visit

A chance to visit a stunning private garden with views to die for! (I was there 3 years ago). This garden opens through the National Garden Scheme but for private visits only. The minimum number is 10, so we have 2 Champs available to lead the ride. Parking opposite Checkenden Church (free), it's a very gradual climb towards Christmas Common, before the amazing drop down Britwell Hill. The garden is at the bottom of the hill after 9 miles. Refreshments and home made cakes included for the cost of £11 each. After time in the garden, our route takes in some of the picture postcard Chiltern Villages, all easy going, with just one challenging climb to Checkenden at the end, which doesn't last too long.

The payment of £11 is due in advance ONE WEEK BEFORE our visit. I will send details at that time.

The garden visit costs £11 and includes tea/coffee and home made cafes. We will probably spend an hour there to explore the garden and have our drinks.

Cycle helmets are compulsory. Please check your bike the night before, chain oiled, tyres fully inflated (makes it easier!), and always carry a spare inner tube suitable for your tyre size. And preferable two! And a pump which you know fits your valve.
