Chasewater Thursday Evening Ride

This ride through Chasewater Country Park follows a pretty route around the reservoir along the cycle paths. We’ll meet in the car park at Burntwood Rugby Club, The Sportsway, WS7 3PH at 6:30pm. Once we’ve checked over our bikes and warmed up, we’ll ride out on easy off-road trails around the picturesque pools making the most of the lovely fresh air and pretty cycle pathways. We’ll have a short rest at the South Shore before riding on around the reservoir and dam before returning to our start point. The ride should take about an hour but please allow an hour and half overall to include the bike checks and rest breaks. The route is mostly flat but there are bumpy gravel paths in places and some of the surfaces are slightly on the rough side so chunkier tyres are a suggestion. The paths may be muddy following rainfall.   This ride is not suitable for road bikes or slick tyres. This ride is perfect for anyone who is fairly comfortable riding a bike or wanting to develop their confidence riding in a group or those wanting to get back in the saddle after not riding for a while. Please ensure your bike is in good working order, tyres are pumped, spare inner tube at the ready and don’t forget the helmet (essential) and water bottle.
