This bike ride is a little bit different to our normal ride around Bicester area - this is a charity ride to help raise funds and awareness for UK charities to help 14–24 year olds to reach their potential through education and sport. Free to sign up, please use this link: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/ride4will-2024-tickets-947445092777?fbclid=IwY2xjawFCRQlleHRuA2FlbQIxMQABHRgBrazGV2ku5RNaUqjDvB9EdlT1dWmoqXnh2Wi71fivVMEdx3VIFe7vTw_aem_ss4TAwPxVT6cTlehWbndFg The Will Houghton Foundation was set up by Will's parents after he was killed in a road accident while on a training ride near his university in Portsmouth. This is a social ride on mainly countryside roads. Although the final route is not yet confirmed by the organisers, past Ride4Will events started from the Akeman Inn on the A41 through the Claydons, Gawcott, Preston Bissett, Chetwold, Stratton Audley, Marsh Gibbon, Grendon Underwood and back to the Inn.
The majority of this ride will be on quieter countryside roads, with the start and finish using the busier A41 (but only for a short while).
As this is a charity ride, there will be other participants so can be busy. The Breeze riders will be riding together, taking stops as and when we needed.
Please make sure that your bike is in good working order, and bring your helmet, a drink, sunscreen (if sunny
If you want to participate in a cycle sportive type event, but a bit unsure to what to expect and want some company, this will be the ride for you. Like any Breeze rides, our group will stick together and no one will be left behind!
