Starting from - Starting point is outside the Weavers Arms, Long Street, Bulkington, CV12 9JZ (Ignore the post code CV12 9LB although feel free to park in Milner Close) The Weavers is a good local pub although it no longer serves food.

There is plenty of parking along long street, please park on the off side as you drive in, this is the same side as the pub, this is the side any customers for the pub or local residents use.

This Coventry Ride Leaders 2017 ride is open for anyone to join

Led by experienced ride leaders, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. They are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist, you can find a ride that is right for you.

Please note, all riders must book space on the ride, riders attending without booking run the risk of the ride not taking place if none of the booked spaces are taken*.

All on rolling roads around North Warwickshire, this ride leaves Bulkington, along country roads taking in villages such as Withybrook, Monks Kirby, Pailton, Easenhall, Cathiron, Brinklow, Hopsford, Shilton, Barnacle and back to Bulkington, some of our longer routes can drift into the East Midlands over towards Coventry and West Leicestershire. This ride is easy paced miles. This ride normally takes advantage of Café stops** at local villages.

In order to complete this ride, you should have a reasonable standard of fitness, be able to ride and hold a conversation at the same time. The ride speed will be roughly 12-14 mph but we will cycle at the speed of the slowest rider in a group where traffic and road conditions dictate.

This ride is for 16+ years anyone below the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Before you start off, for the side please ensure your bike is serviceable (if you are worried in anyway Halfords do a free bike check ( https://tinyurl.com/43myhuhp ) i.e.,

1, Tyres are inflated to the correct pressure (Road Tyres, off road tyres are acceptable if you can keep the pace).
2, Wheels are securely fastened.
3, Handle bars are securely fastened.
4, You have the correct means to repair a puncture i.e., Spare inner tube, Tyre weld, patches plus tyre leavers glue etc.
5, Clothing suitable for the weather (rain jacket etc)
6, Helmet (we will all be wearing helmets, this is current British Cycling Policy, sorry No Helmet No Ride).

It is also advisable to bring with you a little money, card, phone with apple/android pay, however in case of emergencies a, ride £10, stashed somewhere suitable is always a good idea.

* If you know you are not going to make the ride, please cancel your booking even if it's 5 minutes before the ride begins.

** COVID-19 - Hands, Space, Face, Being Vaccinated doesn't stop you or I being a carrier so please respect others wishes, during the ride there will be NO SPITTING or SNOT ROCKETS. Ensure you have a face covering to take advantage of café facilities.
