Castles and Picnics ......Beeston Castle

We will leave the Cycle Hub and using cycle lanes and road will travel in the direction of Ellesmere Port, we will turn off along lanes to travel through stoak, Picton, Guilden Sutton, Waverton, Brown Heath and up to Beeston Castle.
Return journey will be Tattenhall Marina, Huxley, back towards Guilden Sutton then onto the Millenium Greenway back to Queensferry.

There are 2 major road crossings, one which we do twice, but we can get off and walk bikes across if necessary, all road junctions are generally controlled by lights or central waiting areas

A mixture of cycle paths, busy roads, quiet lanes, with stunning scenery

We can stop anywhere along the route for photographs, refreshments, our first refuelling stop will be at Beeston Castle Sandstone Cafe, where there is a small kiosk, serving drinks and snacks, however there are picnic tables if you prefer to bring your own refreshments. There is another option for a further stop on the return either at the ice cream Farm near Tattenhall Marina, or Meadowlea cafe near to the Millennium greenway

Along with your bike could you please bring a cycling helmet, inner tubes that fit your bike, a bike pump and lock, cash or card for cafe stops or your own food for a picnic

Anyone new to Lets ride is welcome to attend this ride, however due to the length of the ride, not suitable for beginners
