Loop from Cardiff up to Pontypridd, with extra section out to Cosmeston lakes and back via the bay. Almost all off road cycle route, some short road sections. Nothing too steep in this direction, but one sharp-ish hill on the Penarth outward leg.

Mostly traffic free, using the Taff Trail and the Church Village Community Route, but some short on road sections, most are low traffic or have pavement wide enough to bail out to if traffic is bad.

Pub stop available at Treforest Estate just after crossing the old railway bridge (Mile 16), at Sophia Gardens Brewhouse (Mile 25, end of the short loop), and passes Ride my Bike cafe at the end of mile 38 which is a good place to finish a ride or get any issues fixed!

Puncture proof tires recommended for any route heading out along valley's cycle paths as glass can be prevalent. Bring some sort of food to help you deal with the short sharp climbs present on the route

We never leave anyone behind
