At the bridge to the M.A.C at the Cannon Hill main car park.

This is our shorter winter version of our Base Layer introductory ride. Gently climbing out of the park past Kings Heath park, this ride swiftly enter the country lanes by Kings Norton . The ride passes the Peacock and drops along Watery Lane to steady roads to Branson Cross island. Passing through Tanworth, this version omits Tom Hill but stays on the more 'level' roads to Earlswood Lakes. Climbing gently to Wythall station the route levels out to then again grind to Dark Lane/Crabmill Lane near the Maypole island. A couple of slopes to end and a fast run back to Cannon Hill - good training to keep you riding through the winter. Welcome to returning riders, those who wat to begin to extend their distances and those who want a gentler pace than our rides leaving at the same time. Pick you poison!
