At the bridge from the car park to Midlands Art Centre in Cannon Hill Park.

Selly Oak sojourn An alternative journey to The Lickeys passing through Selly Oak and the clock of The University of Birmingham as a reminder of the pace in this early steady roll, this is part of The ‘In Extremis’ standard or regular group rides starting from our home, Cannon Hill Park. It has all the element of The ‘In Extremis’ recipe, varied terrain, mixed climbs and descents, steady pace lanes, good chat and fine coffee. What more can you ask for?! Passing the Bartley reservoir, the first peak is at the foot of The Waseley Hills country park. The roads around Clent are our destination and there are 4 sections for Strava 'junkies' to check their data! The 'In Extremis' team couldn't ride this way without a few surprises and this ride will have these in back past. Come back for more if you like this?! Please choose your rides carefully as we have had to shorten certain rides as riders have not been ready for the distance and terrain. These rides are described by Sky and British Cycling as challenging so if you have not been commuting regularly on a bicycle or not been riding 30 + routes recently - think and bring liquid and food! GPX file available on the Cannon Hill 'In Extremis' face book page. If we have a varied group , we will ride in groups, an opportunity to enjoy club riding expereience in a Sky Ride Social setting.
