Cannock Chase is an area of outstanding natural beauty and what better way to see it, than on 2 wheels. This route follows the picturesque Sherbrook Valley with its open heathland and forests. Plenty to see along the way with wildlife and Deer roaming freely. The route follows a fantastic little stream and we visit the famous Stepping stones of Cannock Chase giving the bike a nice little wash as you ride through or you can walk along to stones to cross. On the route back the views from the top of Abrahams Valley are wonderful, looking around seeing Cannock’s Natural Forests. On the loop back passing through Tackeroo Campsite we pass some amazing pools called Fair oak pools with again more wildlife and a spot of fishing, if only we had time. Plenty of picnic tables when we stop and a great café at the start and at Birches Valley to stock up on those cakes to keep you going. This is truly a lovely place to see and loads more cycle routes available if you come back.
