We reach the Paddington Branch canal tow path at Northolt.
Quiet suburban roads through Southall.
Short busy stretch on Tentelow Lane.
On the way back we ride along the Grand Union canal and River Brent then through Hanwell and Greenford.
Canal tow path, short riverside stretch (won't be muddy as hasn't rained much this week), quiet suburban roads and some busy roads.
Mainly flat with just a couple of inclines.
Our coffee stop is the Stables Cafe at Osterley Park. On our way back, we may stop shortly to admire Brunel's Three bridges feat of engineering.
Check your bike is road-worthy (brakes, inflated tyres, free-spinning wheels...) Bring water, bike lock, helmet, money, rucksack (if intending to carry purchases back). Check your clothes are suited to the weather and won't get caught in the chain. Should you have viral symptoms on the day, please cancel the ride.
First-timers welcome!
A gentle pace ride to Osterley Park for riders who enjoy riding along the canal tow path.
