About the route
Starting point
Bristol Avenue, Ashton-under-Lyne, OL6 8TZ We’ll meet on the trail (National Cycling Route 66) at the access point between Limehurst and Hartshead Estates
The plan is to meet at the access point between Limehurst and Hartshead Estate on the National Cycling Route 66. There are several access points on this route; Turner Lane; Cranbourne Road; Wood Lane and Peterborough Close.

Heading into Ashton we’ll ride pass Ikea on quiet streets and cycle paths down to B&Q where we’ll pick up the canal down to Manchester.
Please bring some money as we’ll stop for breakfast at Vivid Bar in Ancoats before returning back along the Rochdale canal via Daisy Nook.
Wearing a helmet is advisable as we’ll be out on the rods, you’ll need a drink and some money.
