Canal Capers - Clapham via Paddington to Brentford and back

We will cycle from Clapham Common Bandstand, on some roads and cycle paths, and join the canal at Little Venice. You could meet us here if you call and let me know. It is then a gravelly path or paved in parts. We will pass lots of interesting views and landmarks like the Three Bridges (Brunnel's Road / Train / canal Bridges all cross) and Hanwell locks which are a set of very picturesque locks. Also glimpses of London from the canal all the way are very different. We will come out at Brentford around 1pm after cycling at a leisurely pace along the canal. At that point will cross the river at Kew Bridge. There is then the option of the train back to Clapham Junction from Kew, if anyone is short of time or needs to get back. Otherwise, we can join the river path at Kew and cycle all the way along the river path to Putney. Again we can exit this loop at Mortlake to get the Train or to cut out the loop from Barnes to Putney and go straight along the Lower Richmond Road. (busier but quicker) From Putney we can come straight back to the Wandsworth common. Please bring along snacks, drinks and some lunch along with a spare inner tube and pump in case of punctures.
