Shop in a box, Dalmarnock Road, just up from Fleming Carpets

In support of the annual Glasgow to Edinburgh Pedal for Scotland charity cycle ride in September Camglen Bike Town is providing monthly training rides to help you build up the miles in preparation. You don't have to be signed up for Pedal for Scotland to attend these rides, come along and see how you get on before you sign up! Each ride will be 5 miles more than the last and pace will be around 10-15 mph. The route will include on-road cycling, so you should be prepared for some cycling on the roads. Hills are to be expected, but there is no need to sprint up them, they can be tackled at your own pace. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather, ensure your bike is in good working order, carry an essential repair kit, e.g. pump and puncture repairs, also food to fuel you during the ride, and mobile phone/money in case of an emergency. This ride will be something like Gartcosh, Kirkintilloch, strathkelvin cycle path to Strathblane. A steep climb up old Mugdock road, descent into milngavie, maryhill road, byres road and hone via cycle route. Lunch stop is anticipated
