Caldecotte Lake

A lovely, scenic route that starts and finishes at Caldecotte Lake.  During the lake’s excavation engineers discovered the skeleton of an Icthyosaur which can now be seen at Milton Keynes Central Library!  On this lovely traffic-free route you will also encounter the larger part of Caldecotte Lake, an important balancing lake that manages flood water on the River Ouzel just as it enters Milton Keynes. The lake is used by a number of local clubs for rowing and other water sports so you should have lots to look at whilst you're out on your bike!
