Organized by groups in the community, these rides are a great way to meet new people, explore your local area and to have fun riding your bike. You can find rides that are suitable for your level of experience and interests whilst enjoying being part of a social cycling community.

A generally flat easy route, using canal towpaths and cycle tracks,it is one of my favourite rides and is easy enough for everyone to do.

A nice flat route using the Erewash canal, Derby canal,Trent and Mersey canal and the river Trent. With some quiet roads to join them up. Visiting Elvaston Castle, Shardlow and Trent Lock on the way.

A cafe/toilet stop at Elvaston, and stops to chat and admire the scenery along the way.

I always advise wearing a cycle helmet.A puncture repair kit and tools to fit your bike,a spare innertube makes life easier.A drink and snacks or money/card for the cafe stop.Suitable clothing for the weather on the day.
