A beautiful circular route along some spectacular views along some fantastic canal network .passing through some lovely villages and also going over the magnificent aqueduct at Barnby Dunn.

We set off and head towards the sandal beat woods then along the cycle paths towards sandal park then along shared pathways to edenthorpe . We go over towards the beautiful village of Barnby Dunn , taking in the lovely bridleway along the canal we stay along the canal all the way to braithwaite. We then join the new junction new cut canal all the way to Sykehouse lock . We then head on some quiet country lanes along the banks of the river Don . We after cycle a small section and cross over onto another quiet road connecting us to Rawcliffe bridge , we then cycle down the magnificent towpath along the Calder canal to our cafe stop at goole marina the beautiful cafe dock . After our much needed break we return the same way back to Rawcliffe bridge, but then we cycle on a busy road towards the village of moored. We circle around the outskirts of Thorne we an option to stop at the lake view cafe . We then link up with the canal and follow the towpath towards the nature reserve where we cut off up and over the former pit spoil then dropping down into Dunscroft. We head through the beautiful quarry park , then heading out towards dunsville . We head back to tenpin going thru shaw woods and sandal beat into cantley park then back to tenpin.

Quiet lanes and roads , some main roads ,Canal towpaths , and woodland trails .

We will be stopping at the cafe dock at situated alongside the canal and the Dutch river in old goole . Possibility of another stop in Thorne possibly drinks stop .photo picture taking stops . We will pause the ride for any occurrences of punctures etc.

Helmets are advisable for the ride . Cash/card for possible purchases at the cafe . Spare inner tubes pump and tools to replace a tube also .
