The ride goes through Caerwent and then along the cycle path to Crick. From here we ride through the lanes to Mathern and take on our first serious climb as we work our way up to the Severn Bridge. Then it's over the bridge and onto the B4461 to Alveston. This will be the busiest stretch of the ride and also the biggest climb as it is uphill most of the way. Then we ride through Alveston and out the other side to our lunch stop at the highest point of the ride.
After lunch, we ride back through Alveston but then head to Old Down and Olveston to create a loop that we complete as we rejoin the B road for the last little run back to the bridge. The rest of the route is the reverse of the run out from Caerwent.

A scenic ride to visit the Alpacas

This is virtually an all road route using a mix of country lanes and B roads. You need to be confident of riding with traffic for this one

We will stop for lunch at the cafe at the alpaca farm

Please wear a helmet and bring along some money and a lock for the coffee stop. It is also a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case

We never leave anyone behind
