Caerwent, Black Rock, Rogiet and Magor loop

We head through Caerwent village and then into Caldicot via the park and then out through the country park past the castle. From here, we ride along the road to Sudbrook and then head along the path to Black Rock. After a brief stop, we head back towards Caldicot using the greenway to enjoy the traffic free smooth tarmac. Then we head along the road and then lanes to Rogiet.
After a short refreshment stop, we head towards Magor avoiding the main roads as much as possible. Then we head up St. Brides valley, over Carrow Hill and out to Five Lanes. A gentle climb past the donkeys up to Llanvair Discoed followed by a downhill takes us back to Caerwent.

A scenic loop around the country lanes near Magor and Caldicot

The route is mostly quiet country lanes with a few sections of traffic free mixed in along the way.

We will stop for a photo at Black Rock and then at Rogiet community junction for refreshments.

Please wear a helmet and bring along a lock and some money for the rest stop. It is also a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.
