British Cycling have partnered with BwD Council, local agencies and organisations to help host the first Blackburn with Darwen Festival of Cycling to be held at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy on Redearth Road, Darwen,BB3 2AB on Saturday 31st August from 10am until 2pm.
British Cycling shall be hosting this guided ride during the day.
This route takes in the suburbs, parks and cycleways of Blackburn and Darwen as well as some sections of the Weavers Wheel.
Be ready to ride for 10:15am with a quick intro and bike check before setting off.
There is also the possibility of a short stop for refreshments en-route so bring a cycle cafe lock and money for the break. Also a helmet, inner tube and cycle tools required.
Meeting point is the car park at Darwen Aldridge Community Academy, BB3 2AB.

Other activities available during the day include repair and recycling of your old bikes and advice on safety and cycling in the area.
