Bute Park to Barry Island

Bit of a longer ride to test your legs. Starting at our usual point in Bute Park we head to Penarth, dropping down the steep hill to the sea front and the pier. After that its a gentle ride along the coast to Barry Island where we can stop off for a bag of chips and an ice cream (gotta make up the calories) before heading back via the much ore gentle cycle path from Cosmeston to Penarth then home.

There is more road riding on this route than on some of our previous ones but there are paths we can use along some of the route if you are not entirely confident on the roads.
