Bute Park to Barry

A brilliant ride from the Summerhouse Cafe in Bute Park, gently down the Taff Trail and into Cardiff Bay, around the barrage. Next it's uphill over Penarth, dropping down to the pier and back up the other side. We'll take a detour down to Swanbridge then take the lanes around Sully to avoid the main road. We take the quieter road through the docks into Barry where we'll stop for food and drinks - plenty to choose from - coffee, hot chocolate, bacon baguettes, ice cream!

On the way back we again take the lanes from Sully back up to Cogan, then Taff Trail back up to Bute Park.

Remember to bring a drink and a snack in case you feel hungry along the way. Please check your bike over in advance, making sure tyres are inflated and brakes are working, bring a spare inner tube if you have one, and always wear a helmet.
