Starting from the Corner Kitchen Cafe this ride is approximately 10 miles (20 miles in all) along the traffic free route along the Greenway to Meadow Lea Cafe.
This is a pleasant ride for beginners, or riders who have not ridden in a while and will be ridden at the speed 7/10 miles per hour - less if needed -. The route itself is an old railway line, which passes over the Welsh/English Border and pleasant countryside. On the way to Mickle Trafford one can see several wood sculptures. We will ride through three tunnels two short one long it can be quite dark so care will need to be taken riding through. There is a longish swoop with a couple of blind bends towards the end of the Greenway. At the end there is a T-junction onto a busy country lane. We cross over to the other side and ride or walk the remaining distance to Meadow Lea Cafe - coffee and cake .
Please Note:
Though this is a most pleasant route - The Greenway is a shared path with other cyclists, children, and walkers (with dogs). Squirrels, rabbits and crows who prefer walking to flying.
