About the route
Starting point
Sibson road car park, Birstall,( free parking). The car park is opposite the garden centre
Starting in Birstall, we will ride out through the pretty villages of Barkby and Beeby, before a short, sharp climb out of South Croxton. A long downhill into Twyford will take us to the start of Burrough hill. This is the highest point of the ride. We will then turn back towards home, passing through Gaddesby, Rearsby, Thrussington and Ratciffe on Wreake.
The stop for a well earned cup of tea and a slice of cake will be in Thrussington. We then continue through the Charnwood countryside to Rothley and Cropston before turning back to Birstall
