Woodborough Inn car park, Winscombe BS25 1HD

From Woodborough Inn car park in Winscombe we take quiet roads around the back of Sandford, Churchill and Langford villages to Burrington Coombe. We then climb for approximately 1.5 miles where we can then take in and admire the wonderful views from the top. The route then takes us across the Mendips, all on very quiet roads, into the picturesque village of Priddy where we then descend down past Rodney Stoke, Cocklake, Clewer before entering Cheddar. We will then pick up the Cheddar Valley railway line which will take us back to Winscombe via the Strawberry Line. The route is quite undulating in places but with wonderful views and scenery. This is probably only suitable for road bikes. This a challenging ride for experienced road riders, steep in places.
