Route rating
(0) ReviewsI describe this route as a leisure ride. It tries to avoid busy roads and make use of cycle paths as much as possible. We leave and finish at Hugh’s Restaurant, 270 Stonelaw Road in BURNSIDE. The route takes us out to Johnstone, going through Pollok Park and Paisley. The return route is the same as the outward. You can view the route in detail at https://ridewithgps.com/routes/45945911
The route follows mainly roads identified as a cycle route or on quiet roads to Pollok Park where we join NCN 75 to Johnstone. The route is classified as paved for virtually all its length. The road between Kings Park station and Cathcart is a busy road.
The ride heads out to Johnstone where we will stop at the Callans Community Café which has toilets. I think it is very friendly. If anyone sees something they'd like to stop and look at, we'll stop.
This is Scotland and as we all know, the weather can be ‘variable’. Please check the forecast before leaving and come prepared. If the weather looks to be really terrible, the ride is likely to be cancelled.
We never leave anyone behind
