Going south down Huntercombe over the A4 (lights) passing the abbey then crossing the M4 to join the Jubilee heading upstream towards M/head. Just before we reach the A4 we turn left on to Amerden Ln onto the Thames and we follow the towpath downstream to Dorney lake round the outskirts to Boveney then across Dorney common back to the Jubilee leaving the towpath following the railway line back to the Thames over on the path next to the A332 past the lovely church (St. Andrew the Apostle) to the swan for refreshments. Return via the thames to Eton Wick then traffic free path to cross the jubilee and into Cippenham through the housing Est (the orchards as was) up Elmshott Ln then Station Rd/Burnham Ln back to our start point

Route rating

5 stars (3) Reviews

A nice social paced ride in the (hopefully) evening sunshine to a pub and back. This ride will be suitable for all bike types (and riders) except for super skinny tyred ultra lightweight carbon racers.

A mixture of quiet lanes bridlepaths and towpaths

Will be stopping to take in the views along the way as well as the mandatory group photo! Today's main pub stop is just before the three quarter mark

Please bring lights as it may be dark before we get back. Drinks/snax for whilst on the bike/route, puncture repair kit/spare tube (if new/returning to cycling don't worry others will help) Money to buy drinks snax at the stop.

First-timers welcome!
