Burnham Beeches and Windsor ride

This ride uses a flater terrain than is often the case with our rides. There are a few hills but none too arduous. The ride route heads out via Ruislip and Uxbridge and passes close to Fulmer before reaching a part of Burnham Beeches. From there we will continue past Cliveden House, Taplow Station and Eton before crossing the Thames into Windsor for refreshments. A short climb through the town leads to the elevenses stop.
After the break we head home retracing roads through Uxbridge and Ruilsip.

A 30 mile ride before elevenses, followed by a 20 mile ride back to Harrow. The estimated average speed will be 12 mph.

We use quieter residential roads, country lanes and cycle paths when possible. The route is not always the shortest way but one that is quieter and often more pleasant.

There are always opportunities to take photos. Do indicate if you want to stop.

Your bikes brakes, tyres and gears should be checked at least a day before a ride. Please wear a helmet. Carry spare inner tubes and puncture repair outfit and carry a small tool kit that fits your bike. Water for the ride and money for refreshments, change of plans or emergencies. Please check the weather before the ride and dress accordingly.
