The Hub, Buckshaw Village

This figure of eight route starts at the Hub in Buckshaw Village (cafe) and incorporates two loops.  The first loop uses quiet roads and a short off-road section of cycle path to explore the newly developed Buckshaw Village that was once a Royal Ordnance site.
We are looking for new or returning riders who are getting back on the cycle after the winter break.
All welcome.
We can continue the ride in the afternoon with another Explorer ride should we need to.
This ride is loosely taking in the route stated on the let’s ride page, However if we need to tweak the route to suit riders ability and the weather we can.
After a road section there is a short offroad climb to a viewpoint with beautiful 360 degree views.  The route then uses well maintained cycle paths to get to Astley Park in Chorley and view Astley Hall, Lake and Gardens.  Here there is an option to stop at the cafe or continue through the park to return to Buckshaw Village via quiet suburban roads and cycle paths.  This route will be suitable for most types of bikes.
