From the centre of Buckshaw, it’s all traffic free cycling on a route that is varied and offers young riders a range of surfaces, gradients, moderate climbs and descents in leafy surroundings,
Buckshaw paved cycleways lead to an undulating gravel route up into a Nature Reserve with views to the coast. Briefly down to more gravel routes up the landscape mounds marking the Buckshaw boundary with views to Cuerden Wildlife Park, our next area,
Cuerden main cycleways are paved and run North alongside the river. There are options for more gravel climbs for those who wish to and a paved route up to the cafe for those tempted by ice cream or coffee etc.

Planned as a Novice ride, ( almost the first of the next month!) this location allows for easy routing with parallel more challenging routes to suit all.

All road traffic free. Probably dogs and pedestrians though.

There are two cafes on the route so plenty of options but we customarily stop as needed for whatever and especially for refreshment.

Helmets please on this Ribble Valley Juniors Novice ride. Dress appropriate for the weather.Ideally a spare inner tube to suit your wheel size. A smile and sunshine!
