Starting point

BS5 6AW

At the front entrance of Easton Community Centre - just off the bike path.

Please meet at Easton Community Centre for a prompt 10.00am departure. We will ride up the Bristol to Bath Bike Path to Bitton and back. This route is approximately 7.5 miles out and 7.5 miles back, making the whole ride 15 miles. We will stop at Bitton Railway Station part of the Avon Valley Railway for coffee/tea and cake before riding back to the Community Centre. This Breeze ride is ideal for those wanting to gain confidence riding a bike in a traffic free environment with a group. There are no hills making it a nice flat ride which we will take at a leisurely pace. Children are welcome but must be able to ride the full distance. They must also be booked on to the ride separately and accompanied by an adult (someone aged over 18) taking responsibility for their safety. ALL UNDER 18s are required to wear a helmet including those in child seats or trailers. Under 5’s can’t be registered on the ride through www.goskyride.com however they can attend the rides in a BSA recommended safe and functional child seat, trailer or trailer bike (tag-along). Please bring a bike that is in good working order and a puncture repair kit or spare inner tube. We will do a brief safety check before we leave and if your bike is not safe you will be asked not to ride. Make sure you bring clothes that are appropriate for the weather conditions on the day and maybe an extra layer for when we stop. Helmets are preferable but not mandatory for adults. Please bring a drink or water for the ride. If you do not have your own bike it is possible to hire one from Easton Community Centre. Please contact the centre directly to arrange this before the weekend: www.eastoncommunitycentre.org.uk 0117 954 1409.
