This is a slightly hilly route, well it IS Bruton and you can't get in or out without a hill I'm afraid. A circular route starting at the Bean Shot Coffee Shop just near the station in Bruton. 12.15pm meet for a 12.30pm depart please. 11.5 miles circular route, starting with a climb up past Wyke Farm, the out onto the A371 briefly (where we'll take extra care on the busy road), before turning into Ditcheat. Next onto Alhampton before heading back briefly onto the A371 as we start to climb past Castle Cary Station, then into town. The uphill in the High Street in Castle Cary can be walked if too steep for you to cycle. Then gentle back roads through Hadspen and Gants Mill back to Bruton for a well earned drink and cookies.
