, Brougham and Lowther

This ride is suitable for all abilities. Apart from a short section of rough ground the ride is on good Tarmac roads and suitable for all bikes. The ride leaves the car park at Brougham Hall and heads towards Brougham Castle. We turn right just before the castle and make our way towards Melkinthorpe.The ride takes us on to Lowther Castle Down through Lowther Caravan Park across the A6 and back towards Brougham and Bettyannes Tea Parlour. There is an option to extend this ride to include the village of Great Strickland . This can be decided on the day depending on weather and riders wishes. We will always ride at a pace to suit everyone and no one will be left behind.the aim is to have a fun sociable ride,. Remember to wear comfortable clothes that are suitable for the days weather and it is advisable to wear a helmet. It is a good idea to bring a spare inner tube and a drink and snack. We often stop for coffee and cake near the end of the ride so please bring some money.
