Starting from the layby next to the Golden Lion pub at Ferrybridge, we cross the bridge into Brotherton and follow the main road towards Fairburn. We then head out through Byram cum Sutton on quiet country roads through to Hillam and stay on the road to Gateforth. From here we turn and head back through Birkin, heading back towards Hillam where we will take a cafe stop at Bert's Barrow farm/cafe. After a short refuel we then head back towards Fairburn over the A1 and make our return to Brotherton.
This is a road ride but takes in mainly quiet country lanes.
