Saturday 28 March 2015 at 2pm 6 miles Broompark to The Lions Den Starting point Broompark Picnic Area DH7 7RJ Join us for a leisurely breeze along the Deerness Valley Railway Path to The Lions Den (near Esh Winning). Describing itself as ‘an eclectic shabby chic tea room’ this has to be a perfect destination for a Breeze ride. The trip will be suitable for beginners as it is off road and is as flat a ride as Durham gets. So, if you’re a beginner cyclist or returning after years away from a saddle this is the outing for you. You’ll be in good company while riding through Durham’s attractive countryside. The railway path is mainly a good surface so will be suitable for all bikes apart from very skinny road tyres. Children are welcome when booked with an adult but please ensure that they’re competent to ride the distance safely and they wear a helmet (compulsory for under 16’s on Breeze rides). Please don’t risk getting cold and come suitably dressed for the weather eg warm gloves, buff, extra socks/overshoes and lots of layers if spring hasn’t quite sprung. For more information please contact us at [email protected]. Note that if this ride disappears off the Breeze website then this means it is full. It may re-appear if there are cancellations. If you do have to cancel please remove yourself via the online booking system so that your place becomes available to someone else. Thanks. Audrey
