This is a relaxing ride, mainly on railway paths from Broompark along the Lanchester Valley walkway to a lovely cafe at Knitsley. Easy and flat with slight downhill on the way back this is a great route for burning some calories which can then be replaced at the excellent Knitsley Farm Shop. It's a 22 mile round trip through Durham's lovely countryside and we hope you can come and share the morning with us. We really welcome newcomers to our rides; we will always ride at the pace of the slowest rider so no one is left behind. Please note that this ride is open to older children of 10+ due to the distance. Please bring a drink, snack to keep you going and money for refreshments as there are lots of nice things to buy at Knitsley.  You are also advised to bring an extra layer and waterproof, there may be a few puddles en route. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not to worry you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.  Look forward to seeing you there.
