Brock 'n' Roll

We’ll meet outside Evington House in Evington Park. Come and join us for a fun and friendly bike ride!  After a quick bike check we’ll ride out of the park and onto Main Street before heading up Shady Lane – with it being a Sunday morning the lane should be quieter than week days so don’t worry!  We’ll ride at a slow leisurely pace keeping to the pace of the slowest rider – so if you’re happy riding a bike but feel a bit rusty, or just simply want to get out and enjoy a social bike ride then this is for you.                                                                              We’ll stop halfway at Brocks Hill Country Park & Visitor Centre for well deserved refreshments before heading back to Evington Park following a different route.  This route includes mainly quiet roads and cycle paths.  You’ll be briefed before and during the ride.  Most of the ride is flat with a couple of short hills. If you have a spare inner tube and puncture repair kit please bring it along.  Don’t worry if you haven’t got one - I always carry a kit.  You could buy one for next time. Bring some money and water. Check the weather the night before – you may need waterproofs, gloves, sunglasses. Wearing a helmet is advisable; if you don’t have one please do not worry, you can still take part.  If you enjoy the bike ride and would like to come again perhaps you could look to buy one then.
