Chew Valley Lake Tea Shop

This is a beautiful ride around Chew Valley Lake.  We'll meet at Chew Valley Lake Tea Shop (the cakes here are delicious!) and then we'll set off around the lake, crossing Chew Valley Dam and exploring the woodland. The rolling country lanes will pass through Chew Stoke, West Harptree, East Harptree, Sutton Wick and Bishop Sutton on this route of just over 8 miles. We'll finish back at the tea shop for some well earned treats - the cream tea is highly recommended! This route is suitable for all types of bicycles - 85% is on the road. If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour.
