We'll meet at Queen Sq, Bristol BS1 4QS at 09:00am
THIS IS THE OLD BRISTOL BIGGEST BIKE RIDE ROUTE
Starting out from Bristol, we'll head out of Bristol along Hotwell Rd and down the Portway,
Then crossing the Avonmouth Bridge with the traffic wizzing by.
On through Pill, Easton In Gordano, Portbury, along the Old Clevedon Rd turning right at the end then up Holly Lane our first major hill of the day.
After stopping for tea and cakes on Clevedon sea front we’ll head on through Chelvey then onto Broclkey where we will have the pleasure of climbing Brockley Combe road, yes another hill, followed by a well earned descent back into Bristol City Centre.
This is a social ride at a speed between 10 and 15 miles ( but always at the pace of the slowest person so no-one gets left behind).
You are not expected to climb every hill but will need to be reasonably fit for this ride.
About you: You should bring yourself AND BE OVER 16 with an accompanying adult, or OVER 18 if on your own ,
A helmet (not compulsory ), a road worthy road bike or hybrid bike, a spare inner tube and puncture kit, suitable clothing, a water bottle, lights ( depending on the time of year). A mobile phone, money for a cake and tea or coffee stop,
and lastly a sense of fun and humour.............. Sooo if you feel upto it, come along and stretch your legs and spend a nice morning in the saddle.........
